Ashoura Day

The Ashoura Day Event, organized by Istanbul Cereals, Pulses, Oilseeds, and Products Exporters’ Association (IHBIR), took place. Ashoura, which has become a tradition for centuries, is not just a special dessert but also a carrier of culture. Celebrated on the 10th day of the month of Muharram every year, Ashoura Day has spread from Mesopotamia to the whole world, with Anatolia being the place where wheat first emerged.

IHBIR Chairman Kazım Taycı, Istanbul Exporters’ Associations (IIB) Chairman Cem Seven, Istanbul Fishery and Animal Products Exporters’ Association Chairman Müjdat Sezer and IHBIR Vice Chairmen and board members attended the event organized by Istanbul Cereals, Pulses, Oilseeds, and Products Exporters’ Association (IHBIR).

Ashoura, prepared from carefully selected delicious products of Anatolia, received great interest from the participants, making the Ashoura Day event a highly acclaimed gathering.
